Greek Alphabet
The 24 letters of the Greek alphabet, from Alpha to Omega, each with its uppercase and lowercase glyph, English name, standard romanization, and the LaTeX command that produces the symbol. A constant reference when reading math, physics, and engineering notation.

} Sources and methodology
The 24 letters of the modern Greek alphabet in their traditional order, Alpha (Α) through Omega (Ω).
romanization follows the common transliteration of Ancient Greek used in English (β → b, φ → ph, χ → ch, υ → y), not the ISO 843 / ELOT 743 scheme for Modern Greek (which uses v, f, ch, i for β, φ, χ, η); note that some letters share a Latin form (Eta and Epsilon both romanize as variants of “e”, Omicron and Omega both as “o”). The latex field gives the command for the lowercase form as written in math mode — uppercase variants that differ from their Latin look-alikes use commands like \Gamma, \Delta, and \Omega, while letters whose uppercase matches a Latin letter (such as Alpha → A) have no distinct LaTeX command. Sigma’s word-final lowercase variant (ς) is omitted; the standard medial form (σ) is listed.
Versioning
URLs under /v1/ are stable: field names and types will not change in a way
that breaks consumers. Values can be corrected or records added when the upstream source
changes; schema-incompatible updates ship under a new version path. See the
greek-alphabet changelog for this dataset's history.
